New EASA website

At the beginning of August 2016, EASA has launched its website: www.easa-alliance.org.

In 1998, EASA launched its first website and the site has been updated now for the 4th time. The new website is completely redesigned and offers fast and easy access to all essential EASA information, providing a more comprehensive understanding of EASA’s mission and services. At the same time, users can find in-depth data about advertising self-regulation practices, as well as an overview of EASA's extensive network of members and their activities.

Revised EU AVMSD reinforces support for self and co-regulation

Brussels, 25 May 2016 - The European Commission’s proposal for a revision of the EU directive for Audiovisual Media Services (AVMSD) and the associated studies released today reinforce among other things the support for effective self- and co-regulation as well as the country of origin principle. The proposal is an important response to the Digital Single Market and has taken account of the proliferation of new platforms and technologies and the need for flexible rules.

Report on European Trends in Advertising Complaints, Copy Advice and Pre-clearance now online

The Report shows the main trends in advertising complaints and requests for copy advice and pre-clearance made throughout 2014.
 
Every year, EASA collects statistical complaint data from the advertising self-regulatory organisations (SROs) in its membership. The present report covers data from 25 SROs in 23 countries of the EU28 as well as SROs in Switzerland and Turkey.
