Online platforms and the advertising industry have today unveiled a self-regulatory Code of Practice that includes a wide range of commitments to fight online disinformation.

Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel, welcomed this as a step in the right direction, but urges the platforms to increase their efforts to fight the spread of disinformation online.

EASA and several of its industry members were involved in the process as part of the Multistakeholder Forum on Disinformation initiated by the European Commission.
